Is your resignation a happy one? Does your (about to be former) boss have a sense of humor? If he or she does, then this could be a big hit. If he or she doesn't have much of a sense of humor - who cares? You're quitting! As long as you get a chuckle out of it, then that's all that matters.
Remember to enter the date you are resigning in the third paragraph and the company name in the fourth paragraph. (You have to do a little more than enter "X's" in this message.)
Quitting a job is a serious process! But, if you and your (about to be former) boss have a sense of humor, then this might be what you need to take the edge off and make it less serious.
With that in mind, I was happily creating the following message one day about resigning from your job, when I realized that even today, not all correspondence should probably be submitted in electronic form. Something like a resignation should still be printed on paper - just as I did when I resigned a few years ago.
So, I ended up separating this page off from the rest because it is probably more of a funny mail message than an email one!
I'll leave the final decision up to you but I think an employer would want a letter of resignation to be on paper.
If you want to work at home and leave the daily grind behind, then this is the letter to give your boss. Tired of the commute and "office politics"? Ready for a change?
Hand in this humorous resignation and get ready to start your new life.
